We have a lot of people asking us about how to have a fundraiser. First of all, fundraisers don't have to be complicated. Some of the simplest fundraisers are the most effective. Bake sales, car washes, Walk-Run-Rolls, balloon pops, silent auctions and many more, take a minimal amount of planning and organization. Here we will give you some tips to help make your fundraiser a success.
Contributions of $10.00 or $1000.00 all make a difference. These contributions go a long way with Rocky Mountain CRPS/RSD, because, we are governed by an all volunteer Board of Directors and staff. Your contributions are not wasted on large salaries, excessive administration fees, or office buildings. Currently over 90% of every dollar raised goes directly to research funding. To our knowledge no other CRPS/RSD non-profit organization can come close to this claim. Your donations and fundraiser efforts have more impact on real change here than any other 501(c)3.
Where does the less than 10% go? That's easy...office supplies...501(c)3 licensing...programs that allow us to provide free services to you.
If you are interested in hosting a fund-raiser most of the financial details are fairly simple.

- Reinbursement of event expenses should be collected from the gross proceeds. RMRSD can not reimburse individuals through their personal accounts in accordance with the tax laws governing 501(c)3 organizations.
- In kind sponsorship is any service that was donated to hold your event, such as poster printing, food service, etc. is tax deductable too and a reciept from that company is required for the value of the service provided so that their contribution is tax deductable.
